It feels like the universe is an ocean and the Earth is a sinking boat.
Too many of us are in the water drowning.
All the life rafts are here but they have all been taken.
There is hardly any space as I see people pushing each other over.
There are some who choose to jump overboard.
It's hard to see them rescued countless times as it's getting tougher to keep swimming.
I watch it happen as I cling to floating wreckage.
It is often those who are nearby that ask for help and sometimes they will demand it.
I do my best to help without sinking.
I see people die and think it's not over yet.
Blood fills the water and sharks come to feed.
The thought of being ripped apart could make me wonder if drowning would have been better.
Some of us manage to survive but not without trauma.
